About

Greetings,
I am Vikramjit Singh Rooprai, an IT Consultant, who fell in love with his city 'Delhi' and decided to share the secrets of this rich heritage with rest of the world. On this journey, which started as a private exploration trip, and from a BLOG, reached to a full fleged website called www.monumentsofdelhi.com, I had amazing experiences and met interesting people. This website is a tribute to everyone, who loves Delhi and cares for it's rich heritage.

How it started

On 24th October 2009, I went on a small trip to see Delhi's monuments with a friend. A quick search on Google gave a list of around 50-60 monuments. I started my expedition with this list and reached Satpula near Select City Walk (Saket). Then I checked Qila Rai Pithora and reached Mehrauli Archaeological Park. This is the place, where everything changed for me. I read on board that this park alone has over 70 monuments. After this, I started writing a Blog about our Heritage and soon realized that the BLOG can never suffise the requiremt. So I started this website in 2009 and since then, adding monuments one by one, as I find them.
